She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1996. She has dedicated her life to medicine and healing.
Dr. Nicole helps people identify the root causes of their health issues, and always wants to figure out WHY a person’s current health picture is the way it is. She uses resources such as homeopathy, botanical medicine, vitamins and minerals, hydrotherapy, nutrition, Chinese medicine and acupuncture; and works in multiple realms including physical, mental-emotional and energetic. Her specialties include gastrointestinal health, autoimmune illness, mold and mycotoxin exposure and allergies.
Her goal is always to trace the symptom back to its original source, so that the environment or factor can be navigated and true change and healing can occur. Dr. Nicole’s mission is to provide science based, wellness skills to every day living.
Our bodies are quite adept at repairing themselves. I use methods that aid that natural ability with modalities like acupuncture, nutrition, botanicals, homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage, lab work analysis, supplements and much more.
I believe many illnesses are caused by the way our bodies react to various foods. Avoiding manufactured ingredients and pesticides reduces the harmful substances entering our bodies, for sure, but what lies beyond that? Replacing foods with cleaner, more organically grown food, figuring out what works well with your body and what doesn't is one of the ways to achieve whole body wellness. Each person is unique in terms of their nutritional needs. Has your body been going haywire? Let's figure this out together. I am accepting new patients that are looking for a health care provider to collaborate with, to aid the body in healing itself and preventing future disease.
I prescribe many types of treatments, such as movement, stretches, altering the types of activities or foods eaten, and much more. Qi Gong is a good example of a tool we might use in your treatment. Qi Gong integrates with holistic medicine as it has been found to treat the whole person. Qi Gong increases flexibility and stamina, improves pain and anxiety and enhances the immune system. Qi Gong focuses not only on physical health, but wellness of the mind and emotions.
